Pasadena, TX, August 11, 2026 —The Rose raised more than $160,000 Saturday, August 8, packing the Pasadena Convention Center with 600 guests for a “Peace, Love and The Rose” themed 37th Annual Shrimp Boil complete with a live auction that alone brought in over $40,000. The night carried on one of Pasadena’s longest-running fundraising traditions, all in support of breast health care for women and men across Southeast Texas, regardless of their ability to pay.

This year’s celebration brought together supporters, survivors and first-time guests for an evening of dancing, games, and a shrimp dinner. Guests bid on one-of-a-kind items during the live and silent auctions, and gathered for a survivor tribute moment that has become a beloved part of the tradition.

“This was my first Shrimp Boil, and now I understand why this beloved event has brought this community together for 37 years,” said Angie Lane, CEO of The Rose. “I watched a room full of strangers turn into a room full of family in one evening. I’m grateful to everyone who danced, bid, and gave tonight, because every dollar goes straight back into keeping breast health care accessible for our community.”

The Shrimp Boil remains one of The Rose’s most vital fundraisers, helping fund breast health services, including advanced 3D screenings, for women across 45 counties in Southeast Texas, regardless of insurance status. Attendees were encouraged to schedule their yearly screening now, ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
