HOUSTON (July 14, 2020) — Since May 15, 2020, patients have been visiting 6575 West Loop South, Suite 275 for their appointments at the new Galleria location for The Rose. Moving into this modern and spacious facility marks a milestone in service for The Rose.
The new location provides space for new imaging equipment and expanded services and is part of an established building complex, filled with other busy physicians and other healthcare practices. The Rose will continue to provide 3D mammography screening, diagnostic services and biopsies. Another important convenience to clients is the easy access on and off the freeway and access to major bus lines. Parking is free and a covered walkway connects the parking garage to the building, located directly behind the building.
“We know this location will allow us to better serve our community. During this time of the pandemic, we’ve added so many safety precautions and will continue to space appointments to allow social distancing. Most of all we want our patients to feel safe and welcome from the moment they walk through our door.” said Dorothy Gibbons, Co-Founder and CEO of The Rose.
Research has shown that fears of the pandemic are keeping some away from routine medical appointments, cervical and breast cancer screenings in particular dropped 94 percent in March. However, according to Gibbons, that has not been the case at The Rose. “We are as busy as ever and will continue to provide all services to both insured and uninsured. Our biggest concern now is that when women delay routine screening or diagnostic testing, they could be at risk for developing later stage breast cancer. Our message to our patients is breast cancer is not going to wait until this pandemic is over; neither should you. With the projected increase in uninsured women, due to so many job losses, The Rose has to be ready to serve. Now more than ever, we depend on our insured patients to help cover the care for uninsured patients.”
We encourage all women, insured and uninsured, to make their appointments with The Rose Galleria, call 281-484-4708.
