Dixie Melillo, MD
Medical Director and Co-Founder
Dr. Melillo is a co-founder of The Rose. She started her medical profession at Bayshore Medical Center as a general surgeon. She was the second female to complete the surgical residency program at University of Texas Medical Branch–Galveston and has been in private practice since 1984. She is board certified and a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.
Since January 1990, Dr. Melillo has limited her practice to the care and treatment of breast disease. Along with numerous professional appointments, she has received recognition from several sources for her civic and volunteer services.
Among her many honors, the Pasadena resident serves as the namesake for the Dr. Dixie Melillo Middle School, a 5th and 6th grade Pasadena ISD campus.
Sarfaraz Sadruddin, MD
Lead Radiologist
With a passion for getting involved in his community, Dr. Sarfaraz Sadruddin, better known as Dr. Raz, has a long history of advocating for advancements in breast imagery. He received his MD from the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago. Furthermore, he completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine and his Breast Imaging Fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
With his background as an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas Medical Branch, he applies these same skills to address any questions his patients may have. In addition, Dr. Raz has served as a Senior Board Member for the Health Board South West, Chief Technical/ Co-Founder of Reamerge, and as a Chair for Resident and Fellow Section of Texas Radiological Society Represent. He believes in the importance of patient communication which aligns perfectly with The Rose.
