The Rose Appoints Katherine Parsley as Interim CEO

Houston, TX, March 30, 2026 – The Board of Directors of The Rose has appointed Katherine Parsley as Interim Chief Executive Officer as the organization continues its search for a permanent CEO. Parsley will officially assume the role on Monday, March 30, following a transition period working closely with current CEO and Co-Founder Dorothy Gibbons to ensure continuity across operations, community partnerships, and strategic priorities.

“Katherine brings steadfast leadership and a strong commitment to our mission to save lives,” said Shannon Beirne Wiesedeppe, Chair of the Board of Directors of The Rose. “The Board is confident in her ability to maintain The Rose’s momentum as we provide access to quality breast health services to all in our community.”

A seasoned nonprofit executive and former judge, Parsley has a notable background in business development, fundraising, and organizational leadership. She has served as the Executive Director of Crime Stoppers of Houston and the Interim CEO of San Jose Clinic, Faith in Practice, and Bo’s Place.

Katherine is a member of the Boards of Directors of Bridges to Life and the Glasscock School of Continuing Education at Rice University. She serves as a visiting judge and as an Associate Municipal Judge, and is a certified mediator, advanced arbitrator, and FINRA arbitrator. She is proud to teach at Sam Houston State University in the Criminal Justice school.
