Stylish Houstonians Dress the Part at Rosy-Themed Pink Party at West Ave

The only thing better than a blowout soiree with lovely weather, lively tunes, and amazing sips and bites? A blowout soiree that benefits a good cause. More than 350 stylish Houstonians, dressed in rosy attire, turned out for the Pink Party presented by mixed-used development West Avenue on Wednesday. The event was held in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which takes place annually during the month of October. The fundraiser kicked off with spins by DJ Senega and snaps by Smilebooth as party-goers sipped specialty cocktails from Cinco Vodka and Searsuck Southern Style Gin, and wine by Fall Creek Vineyards. Delicious bites by Del Frisco’s Grille, Pondicheri, Dolce Bacio Cafe, Cru Bar Food & Wine, Eddie V’s, Briggs True, and KICPOPS were also served. But the fun didn’t stop there. Attendees caught the Astros game on two large TVs and strolled through the shops and vendors at West Avenue, from Tootsies to Revolution Studios. What’s more, they were pampered with pink manicures and chair massages by Milk + Honey and pink hair extensions by Azur Salon. Although tickets were complimentary, a suggested donation of $20 raised $3,000 for The Rose, a nonprofit that works to decrease deaths by breast cancer by providing screenings, diagnostics, and access to treatment for women. One in eight women is diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Original Source on CultureMap
