Anahuac, TX, January 18, 2019 – In keeping with Chambers Health’s commitment to provide “what you need, where you need it,” The Rose is partnering with the West Chambers Medical Center on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 and Bayside Clinic on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 to bring mobile mammography to Mont Belvieu and Anahuac.
Each month of the new year, The Rose will provide life-saving mammograms and access to quality breast healthcare to all women – both insured and uninsured — in the area. Women who are uninsured may qualify to receive a sponsored mammogram made possible via Chambers Health’s receipt of funding through Susan G. Komen for the Cure Houston.
“Our relationship with Bayside Community Hospital and all the Chambers Health facilities has a long history, rooted in our shared commitment to remove any barriers to quality healthcare,” said Dorothy Gibbons, CEO, and Co-Founder of The Rose, Texas’ leading nonprofit breast health provider now entering its 33rd year of operations. “This community has shown time and time again how devoted they are to providing women in the area with the ability to guard their health and the chance to discover any warning signs of breast cancer.”
The Rose’s Mobile Mammography Health Coach is a 40 ft. self-contained unit that offers separate suites for state-of-the-art 3D mammography imaging and a fully equipped clinical examination room.
“The Rose Mobile Program offers the same high-quality digital mammograms and expertise found at community diagnostic centers and reinforces our shared commitment to reduce any barriers to ensuring the highest level of care to the communities we serve,” noted Steven Gularte, CEO of Chambers Health. “By bringing mammograms to these convenient locations and offering several times they will be available, we are making it easier for women not to put off critical self-care.”
The Mobile Mammography Day is open to all women over 35 years old, including those in need of a routine checkup without any pre-existing health concerns. All insurances are accepted and those who are uninsured are able to apply for Sponsorship. To meet criteria for a sponsored mammogram, a woman must be uninsured, at or below 200 percent poverty level and have a physician’s referral.
As one of only 14 Breast Centers in the Greater Houston area to be awarded the Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, The Rose Mobile Program offers the same high-quality digital mammograms and expertise found at its diagnostic centers.
