Breast cancer
doesn't see age.
- Survivor Story
Meet Yumaria
Yumaria was only 23 when her doctor found a lump in her breast during a postpartum checkup. Yumaria and many others were sure it was just a clogged milk duct since she had just given birth, but Dr. Dixie Melillo knew the dangers of breast cancer in young women as well as in older women and had a biopsy done.
Shortly after, it was confirmed that the lump in her breast was indeed breast cancer. She underwent treatment and is perfectly healthy and has even gone on to have another healthy beautiful baby girl recently.
