Houston, TX – February 10, 2025, The Rose, a leading nonprofit breast healthcare organization in Southeast Texas, is pleased to announce the receipt of a $10,300 grant from the Montgomery County Community Foundation. This generous funding will enhance access to breast health screenings and diagnostic services for low-income, uninsured women in Montgomery County, where approximately 17% of residents lack health insurance.
The grant will support The Rose’s Empower Her® Sponsorship Program, which ensures that all women, regardless of their ability to pay, receive comprehensive breast health care—from initial screenings to necessary diagnostic procedures and access to treatment.
“The Montgomery County Community Foundation has been a longstanding supporter of The Rose since 2018. We greatly appreciate the Foundation’s commitment to addressing health disparities and improving the well-being of residents in Montgomery County,” said Jessica Duckworth, Chief Operating Officer of The Rose.
In Montgomery County, The Rose collaborates with local clinics and utilizes mobile mammography coaches to bring services directly to communities in need. The organization offers advanced 3-D mammography, diagnostic services, patient navigation, breast MRI, genetic testing and counseling to all women regardless of their ability to pay.
