SUGAR LAND — The Fort Bend Junior Service League becameThe Rose’s favorite Sugar Plum Fairies when they presented the breast health organization with a $10,000 check to help uninsured Fort Bend women with the cost of care. The monies came from proceeds from the 2013 Sugar Plum Market and were presented to Trina Hans of The Rose staff at a recent check presentation ceremony.
The Market allows FBJSL to support numerous agencies that play vital roles in fulfilling important needs in the Fort Bend community.
“We are grateful to the League for this means of empowering Fort Bend women, allowing them to experience the same quality breast health care that we offer every individual who walks through our doors,” said Dorothy Gibbons, Co-Founder and CEO of The Rose. “We simply could not serve the thousands of women we do without community support such as this.”
