Houston, TX, October 11, 2017 – Laura Schwinn, CEO of global analytics software and services company, C&C Reservoirs, has always been drawn to advocacy for equality and women. As an active volunteer with the United Way and numerous STEM and diversity organizations, she was eager to provide her expertise in leadership, philanthropy, and growth to an organization that aligned with her professional and personal passions. She was especially interested in supporting a breast cancer organization because of her experience losing her step-mother to breast cancer and seeing the impact this had on her sisters. Schwinn recently joined The Rose, the leading breast healthcare nonprofit in Southeast Texas, as their newest board member.
Schwinn is a highly successful senior corporate executive with over 25 years of leadership experience in both privately held and Fortune 200 companies. She is results oriented, focused and decisive as a transformational leader with global experience in operations, manufacturing, business, product development and strategy implementation. Throughout her career she has delivered superior business results, leading multi-disciplinary teams in locations around the world and driving growth and change with vision, clarity and determination.
“Joining the Board of The Rose gives me the opportunity to support an extraordinary organization that, for more than 30 years, has made critical breast healthcare and diagnosis accessible to women,” said Schwinn.“I’ve seen the toll that breast cancer takes on women firsthand and how it impacts everyone in the family. As a new Board Member, I look forward to contributing to the life-saving work of The Rose.”
In her current position, as CEO at C&C Reservoirs Schwinn leads a global software and content organization. She is transforming the organization through the release of significant new content and software in the DAKS IQ platform and implemented best practices and processes whilst maintaining the entrepreneurial spirit.
Previously, Schwinn held positions of increasing responsibility with Halliburton, one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the energy industry. She was the first woman to hold the position of global vice president of a product service line, becoming Vice President, Drill Bits and Services (“DBS”) operating in 60 countries.
Schwinn earned her Bachelor of Commerce Degree in International Business and Finance from the University of Victoria, Canada. She has previously served on boards in Canada, the Middle East and China.
